
NEWS in LiDM
2024
November 2024: We participated in the ERC workshop at KIMM (November 29th, Daejeon) to review our collaborative research progress and discuss future joint projects. It was an honor to share insights and strengthen collaboration among professors involved in the research group. Following the workshop, we toured various manufacturing and processing equipment at KIMM, which we anticipate will be highly beneficial for our future cooperative research efforts.
November 2024: We attended the KMEMS conference held in Pusan (Nov 21th - 22th, Asti Hotel, Pusan), where we had the opportunity to interact with numerous researchers. As KMEMS brings together experts from diverse backgrounds in nano- and micro-scale research, it provided a stimulating environment filled with fascinating and valuable research topics, greatly inspiring and motivating our ongoing work.
November 2024: I was honored to deliver an invited talk at the Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH), hosted by Professor Sang-Youn Kim. Many professors and students attended, providing an excellent opportunity to share and discuss our latest research. Following the presentation, I was given a laboratory tour, which sparked meaningful conversations and opened possibilities for future research collaborations.
November 2024: We attended the KSPE Conference held in Gyeongju (Nov 13th - 15th). It was an excellent opportunity to network with many researchers, engage in passionate discussions and Q&A sessions about research topics, and provide significant motivation to our lab members. In particular, we had an insightful experience attending the invited talk by Professor Byoung-Hoon Ryu from Inha University.
October 2024: Honored to participate as an invited speaker at the AMSM conference (October 27–30, 2024, Songdo ConvensiA, Incheon). It was a privilege to attend numerous outstanding presentations and a great pleasure to interact with various researchers during the event.
November 2024: We attended the KSME conference (Nov. 6th - 9th, ICC Jeju) and had a productive time listening to numerous insightful presentations. Prof. Jaekang Kim had a wonderful and inspiring invited talk!
August 2024: Honored to participate as an invited speaker at the iMiD conference (August 20–23, 2024, ICC Jeju). It was an excellent opportunity to interact with many researchers, and particularly rewarding to hear the outstanding presentation by Prof. Wei Huang from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC).
Feburary 2024: We all attended the SEMICON exhibition to gain insights into industry trends—particularly regarding equipment, materials, and components relevant to our experiments.
May 2024: Happy Birthday to Taeshik!
May 2024: We attended the KSPE conference held in Jeju from May 8th to 10th, 2024. Participating in this large-scale precision engineering conference provided valuable interactions across various fields of mechanical engineering. In particular, we had an especially insightful experience attending the invited talk by Professor Jongbaeg Kim. Additionally, our lab member Hyeseon Jo achieved the remarkable accomplishment of winning the Best Paper Award at the conference!
March 2024: We attended the KMEMS conference held in Jeju from March 27th to 29th, 2024, for the FIRST time! The conference provided ample research inspiration, and we look forward to active collaboration and sharing many more research experiences in the future. Participating in such an excellent conference allowed us to have a productive time, exchanging numerous insightful questions and discussions.
2023
November 2023: Five students from the LiDM attended the 2023 KSPE conference in Sol Beach, Samcheok. During the conference, they successfully completed two oral presentations and two poster presentations on soft electronics.
September 2023: We all took a short trip to Paju to play foot volleyball, eat pork, Yutnori battle, little chat and so on.
April 2023: We attended K-TRIB2023 conference held in Pusan from April 2nd - 5th, 2023. We shared the research with many people in the field of Tribology. We also had discussions about further collaborative research. It was a meaningful time as we were able to see many graduates who had gone through TRL (Prof. DE Kim)
April 2023: Seongsik Jeong received an excellence poster award in K-TRIB2023! Congratulations!
