May 2025: With the support of the BK Innovation Graduate School, the 1st 어깨동무 Exchange Seminar was jointly organized as part of the research collaboration between Gyeongsang National University and Yonsei University. The seminar featured speakers from diverse research fields and provided a highly engaging and fruitful opportunity for academic exchange.
May 2025: Attended KSPE 2025, Spring Meeting held in Jeju (Jeju Shinwha-World, May 14th - 16th). The Korean Society for Precision Engineering (KSPE) is one of the most representative societies in mechanical engineering, and Donghyun Seo achieved the remarkable accomplishment of receiving the Outstanding Poster Award there. Congratulations!

April 2025: Attended the Micro/Nano Engineering Division Conference of the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers (KSME), held in Gangneung (May 7th - 10th, St. John’s Hotel). Taesik received the Outstanding Poster Award! Congrats!!
March 2025: Attended KMEMS conference held in Jeju (Mar 26th - 28th, ICC Jeju). The KMEMS conference reached an unprecedented scale this year and, for the first time, was organized as a multi-session event. We look forward to seeing the KMEMS conference continue to thrive and expand in the years ahead!
March 2025: Prof. Kim contributed as an organizing committee member for the Yonsei Engineering Symposium 2025 (YES 2025), held in celebration of Yonsei University’s 140th anniversary. The symposium served as a valuable opportunity to host distinguished speakers from abroad and to engage in insightful talks across diverse engineering fields. Seongsik received the award!
Feburary 2025: Congratulations to Gibeam, Seokwon, Donghyeon, and Taesik on their undergraduate graduation. Wishing you continued success and greater achievements at LiDM.
Feburary 2025: LiDM WINTER WORKSHOP to VIVALDI! It was a meaningful time of fun and bonding, strengthening our collaboration even further.

March 2025: Prof. Kim was invited as a Young Scientist Speaker at the 2025 KFPE. Seongsik, Hyeseon, Yongjun, Donghyeon, and Taesik delivered presentations and received valuable feedback on their research. Yongjun and Taesik were honored with poster awards!

January 2025: We held the New Year’s gathering for the Department of Mechanical Engineering, where graduate students and professors came together to exchange greetings and share their resolutions for the year. Our lab member, Seokwon Kim, delivered a representative speech, sharing his reflections on the occasion.
2024
November 2024: ERC workshop at KIMM (November 29th, Daejeon) to share insights and strengthen collaboration among professors involved in the research group. Following the workshop, we toured various manufacturing and processing equipment at KIMM, which we anticipate will be highly beneficial for our future cooperative research efforts.
November 2024: Attended KMEMS conference held in Pusan (Nov 21th - 22th, Asti Hotel, Pusan), It provided a stimulating environment filled with fascinating and valuable research topics, greatly inspiring and motivating our ongoing work.
November 2024: I was honored to deliver an invited talk at the Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH), hosted by Professor Sang-Youn Kim.
November 2024: Attended the KSPE Conference held in Gyeongju (Nov 13th - 15th). It provided significant motivation to our lab members. In particular, we had an insightful experience attending the invited talk by Prof. Byoung-Hoon Ryu from Inha University.
October 2024: Honored to participate as an invited speaker at the AMSM conference (October 27–30, 2024, Songdo ConvensiA, Incheon). It was a privilege to attend numerous outstanding presentations and a great pleasure to interact with various researchers during the event.
November 2024: Attended the KSME conference (Nov. 6th - 9th, ICC Jeju) and had a productive time listening to numerous insightful presentations. Prof. Jaekang Kim had a wonderful and inspiring invited talk!
August 2024: Honored to participate as an invited speaker at the iMiD conference (August 20–23, 2024, ICC Jeju). It was an excellent opportunity to interact with many researchers, and particularly rewarding to hear the outstanding presentation by Prof. Wei Huang from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC).
May 2024: Happy Birthday to Taeshik!
May 2024: Attended the KSPE conference held in Jeju from May 8th to 10th, 2024. We had an especially insightful experience attending the invited talk by Professor Jongbaeg Kim. Additionally, our lab member Hyeseon Jo achieved the remarkable accomplishment of winning the Best Paper Award at the conference!
March 2024: We attended the KMEMS conference held in Jeju from March 27th to 29th, 2024, for the FIRST time! The conference provided ample research inspiration, and we look forward to active collaboration and sharing many more research experiences in the future.
Feburary 2024: We all attended the SEMICON exhibition to gain insights into industry trends—particularly regarding equipment, materials, and components relevant to our experiments.
2023
November 2023: Five students from the LiDM attended the 2023 KSPE conference in Sol Beach, Samcheok. During the conference, they successfully completed two oral presentations and two poster presentations on soft electronics.
September 2023: We all took a short trip to Paju to play foot volleyball, eat pork, Yutnori battle, little chat and so on.
April 2023: Seongsik Jeong received an excellence poster award in K-TRIB2023! Congratulations!
April 2023: We attended K-TRIB2023 conference held in Pusan from April 2nd - 5th, 2023. We shared the research with many people in the field of Tribology. We also had discussions about further collaborative research. It was a meaningful time as we were able to see many graduates who had gone through TRL (Prof. DE Kim)
